Jan Commandeur holds a BSc degree in Chemistry. He continued his education at FOM Institute for Atomic and Molecular Physics (AMOLF) in Amsterdam, where he was involved in a wide variety of multi-disciplinary research projects as support technician. He joined Waters in 1998, and specialized in mass spectrometry support, both from a technical as a management point of view. In 2004 he was one of the co-founders of MS Vision, where he manages the service activities and is the driving force behind the various technology projects that resulted in the sales of modified instrumentation for the analysis of large protein complexes. MS Vision now specializes in bespoke MS instrumentation and is partner in a number of Horizon2020 and Eureka funded projects, working on various MS technologies with a dedicated R&D team led by Jan.
